Center for Empowerment Studies

Research Center for Christian Empowerment in Secularity

ABOUT US

The Center for Empowerment Studies (CES) is a research center in the Theological Faculty of the Martin Luther University Halle-Wittenberg.

The research center “Christian Empowerment in Secularity” consists of three research units. With different focuses, they address the question of how people can be empowered and encouraged through the communication of the gospel.

In addition to research and teaching, the transfer of knowledge between theory and practice is a central part of our work.

The CES is led by Prof. Dr. Michael Domsgen. Scientists from different disciplines work together in the three research centers. An advisory board with representatives from the church and science advises the research center.
