Knowledge Transfer
Exchange between theory and practice
A central part of our work is the transfer of knowledge between the university and the church, between academic research and church leadership and practise. A lively exchange with church staff and volunteers enriches our research, and conversely we make research results fruitful for their practice.
For synods, conferences and work groups, we offer presentations or workshops in which we make our expertise and current research fruitful for practice.
We are available particularly for the following topics:
- Engagement and empowerment of volunteers (Dr. Hanna Kauhaus)
- Perceptions of church from inside and outside (Dr. Ariane Schneider)
- Empowerment for local churches: discovery and use of existing chances and ressources (Dr. Hanna Kauhaus)
- Church for all? Learnings from diversity management (Dr. Hanna Kauhaus)
- What do families want from a church? Family-friendly church development (Dr. Katharina Freudenberg)
- Kirche Kunterbunt (messy church) – an empowering expression of church? (Dr. Katharina Freudenberg)
- Church and education: church kindergardens (Dr. Ariane Schneider)
- Denominationally co-operative, Christian or ecumenical religious education (Dr. Ariane Schneider)

Events
We regularly organise events for practitioners from all levels of local and regional churches. The events are usually held in German.
